SaaS Auto Parts Marketplace for 22 Arabic Countries
A scalable SaaS marketplace platform connecting auto parts dealers, suppliers, buyers, and delivery companies across 22 Arabic countries with secure payments, catalogs, and logistics.
Business Problem
Dubai is home to thousands of auto parts sellers, ranging from large wholesalers to small, specialized garages. However, the auto parts trade in the region remained largely offline or fragmented across outdated platforms. Sellers had no centralized system to manage their listings, receive orders from international buyers, or integrate with delivery companies.
As a result:
- Buyers across the Middle East and North Africa had to physically travel to Dubai or rely on informal communication channels to source parts.
- Sellers lacked digital infrastructure to reach cross-border customers, handle requests, or track deliveries efficiently.
- Delivery and logistics were disconnected, making fulfillment slow and error-prone.
- There was no VIN/OEM-based search filtering, causing miscommunication and incorrect part orders.
- The lack of automation created operational overhead, manual coordination, and limited business growth potential.
The client approached Aimit with the vision to digitally transform the Dubai auto parts industry through a smart, scalable B2B/B2C marketplace.
Our Approach
Aimit acted as both the technical partner and product development team, guiding the client from idea to execution through full-cycle startup development.

2. Platform Architecture & UX/UI Design
- Designed a clean, responsive, multilingual interface for all user roles
- Structured intuitive flows for:
- Seller onboarding
- Buyer search & order
- Delivery selection and tracking
- Developed a smart filtering system using VIN, interchange numbers, OEM codes, and dynamic attributes by category
3. Custom Development
- Built the platform from scratch using:
- Next.js (client)
- Node.js (backend)
- PostgreSQL and MongoDB (database)
- Elasticsearch for high-performance product search
- Created custom dashboards for sellers and delivery companies
- Developed a powerful admin panel with control over categories, filters, user status, content moderation, and financial settings
4. Marketplace Features
- Cross-border order management system
- Buyer-side product comparison and saved searches
- Seller-side inventory management, pricing, and request handling
- Delivery partner selection with package-based activation
- 2FA security, email verification, and role-based access
- Full support for payment and non-payment-based order flows
5. Ongoing Support & Growth Planning
- Provided hosting, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Planned SEO-friendly URL structures and OpenGraph integration
- Designed future-ready modules (mobile app, analytics, multi-language)
Challenges
As with any multi-role, multi-marketplace platform, the DAP project came with unique and complex challenges:
- Fragmented seller data : Many sellers operated without structured product data (VIN, OEM), requiring a system flexible enough to work with partial or clean data.
- Marketplace taxonomy : Categorizing thousands of parts while maintaining filtering speed and SEO compatibility required careful schema design.
- Logistics integration : Coordinating seller inventory with delivery companies demanded custom logic for requests, status updates, and regional constraints.
- Role-based flows : Creating seamless UX for buyers, sellers, and delivery companies—each with unique dashboards and flows—required extensive testing and iterations.
- Security and verification : Balancing platform accessibility with account security and compliance (email verification, document uploads, 2FA, etc.).
Impact
- Digitization of a traditionally offline industry : For the first time, auto parts sellers in Dubai could list, manage, and sell products digitally to 22 countries.
- Simplified international trade : Buyers outside Dubai no longer need to physically travel or rely on WhatsApp and informal sourcing they can search and order in a few clicks.
- Delivery logistics transformed : Delivery companies now receive structured digital requests, reducing confusion, delays, and manual handling.
- Professional platform image : The brand image, UI, and performance positioned DAP as a trusted digital player in a fragmented market.
